We design and make a wide range of furniture and lighting in steel, glass and porcelain. Our customers are private individuals, architects and interior design professionals in France and around the world. Every piece is unique, handmade, and can be customised. Rounded forms, detailed finishes, and the warmth of the patina emphasise the sober lines and refined materials. Our inspiration is multiple and hybrid, redolent of industrial furniture, Art Nouveau, and contemporary style. .
As artisans we endeavour to give meaning to our work, to the encounter with the materials and the time we devote to crafting each object. Every piece is entirely hand-made in France, and is an expression of our values, infused with originality, meaning and purpose. Choosing craftsmanship is making the choice to adhere to these values: consuming responsibly, favouring individuality over uniformity, giving meaning to actions, and caring about the way a product has been made. Supporting traditional skills and expertise and contributing to their development.
Born in 1981, Olivier Le Clerc first learnt to work with steel while studying at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris. After graduating, he continued his training with a more traditional technical apprenticeship at a wrought iron and cutlery manufacturer. He then became head blacksmith at the medieval site of Guédelon, before opening, in 2011, his own workshop near Sancerre in central France. Combining traditional heritage techniques with technical inventivity, Le Clerc has gained widespread recognition for his work, winning several regional awards and national prizes. He is regularly featured in local and national TV and print media.
